In addition to assurance services, DIA provides Consulting Services to Institute management. Consulting Services are generally performed at specific request of a department/unit and are intended to assist management in solving specific problems, process improvement and designing control systems. The nature and scope of the engagement are subject to agreement with the department/unit. Advisory Services generally involve two parties: (1) the person or group offering the advice - DIA, and (2) the person or group seeking and receiving the advice - the engagement client. When performing Consulting Services, DIA is to maintain objectivity and does not assume management responsibility. Some examples of the services are:

• System Implementation Review
